Visit Chanel Wonderland At Harrods Todayyyyy!

Today at Harrods in London Knightsbridge you can walk through a gigantic Chanel 2.55 bag!!!! Having donned our pearls and tweed, we arrived at Harrods in London's Knightsbridge where a Chanel takeover has begun. Banners for the French brand flap along the façade and every window is filled with their gorgeous goodies.

Inside, there is a pop-up boutique (embossed with lion heads, naturallement) which aims to bring Karl Lagerfeld’s A/W’11 vision of ‘a misty garden’ to life. The classic green Harrods bag has been given a Chanel makeover - but it doesn’t end there. In fact, Chanel has put its Double C stamp all over the store…

In the Beauty Hall, it’s like a Chanel Christmas!’ she trills excitedly. ‘And Karl is Santa Claus!’ Ooh, yes please.

Into the monochrome lifts and up to the first floor where it’s time to enter Une Promenade through a curtain of glistening pearls (no, seriously). Behind said pearl curtain, there is an installation of iconic Chanelegance showcasing a miniature version of the S/S ’11 set, Chanel-clad teddies and that gigantic handbag.

The ‘Haute Couture Room’ is brilliantly styled so you feel like you've stepped into Coco Chanel’s Paree apartment. In one corner, Blake Lively’s red rose appliqué dress hangs in a huge box while an elegant mannequin languishes on a chaise lounge swathed in white tulle, thigh-high boots and a twinkling cap. Tres bien!

Then time to reach ‘Karl’s Library’ where a back-lit image of the designer looms over suitably chic books in a replica of his studio. But the absolute fave is ‘Coco’s Nursery’. Cute Coco-a-like dolls, rows of teddy bears wearing tweed capes created by King Karl, and an enormous dolls house in the style of a Parisian store.

Go & Check it out by yourself.......
