When Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line McQ launched in 2006, we (and our wallets) breathed a sigh of relief: signature McQueen design at a lower-price? Yes please! So you can imagine our delight when we discovered that the fashion house revealed this week that it would be opening the first stand-alone boutique for the brand.
The McQ store will open in central London in Spring 2012, a McQueen source confirmed, although the location and concept remain hush-hush. But you can expect the label’s statement knits, must-have denims and directional daywear all under one roof.
And while we eagerly await more details on the project, if the David Sims shot A/W 11 campaign (pictured) is anything to go by, it will be an innovative adventure – we would expect nothing less.
